Barbecued Chicken Orange Glaze Sauce is a very simple barbecue sauce that can be made quickly. If you don’t like the flavor of orange marmalade, frozen orange juice concentrate can be substituted. In that case you should only use a quarter cup of OJ concentrate in place of the jar of marmalade. This recipe has a robust spicy sweet bbq flavor which goes great with fresh spring salad.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup. Honey
1 small jar. Orange Marmalade Jelly
1/3 cup. Heinz 57 Steak Sauce
2 tbsp. Texes Pete Hot Sauce
Instructions:
Start your chicken on the grill before making the sauce. This sauce is applied at the end of cooking. Take all of these ingredients and add to a small saucepan. Cook on a medium heat and stir the mixture until blended. Simmer the Barbecued Chicken Orange Glaze Sauce for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and apply it to pre grilled chicken in a 2 inch baking pan then bake at 300 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes before serving. Don’t forget the fresh spring salad and you have a perfect light meal that tastes great.

How To Cook Barbecue Chicken In The Oven
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Begin with a whole cut up chicken or cut chicken parts. You want to put the chicken into an oven safe roasting pan or casserole dish with out using the lid. First bake your chicken for about 30 minutes. you do this first so you don’t burn the barbecue sauce. After the chicken is pre-cooked, begin basting it with your favorite barbecue sauce. If you like, you can use the recipe at the end of these instructions. Continue basting both sides of your chicken every 10 minutes. After about 50 minutes total cooking time, test the chicken by inserting a meat thermometer near the bone in the thigh. When the temperature reaches 165, your chicken will be fully cooked. A basic bold and sweet home made barbecue sauce recipe that is fantastic on chicken. In my opinion, sweet bbq sauce is best with chicken but we all have different taste in food, that is why making your own home made barbecue sauce is so great.
You may prefer your bbq sauce a little less sweet for your ribs and this recipe will work well for that too because you can simply add less brown sugar. If you prefer sugar free bbq sauce, the brown sugar can be switched out for honey or a sugar substitute of your choice.
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup. Ketchup
1/4 cup. Minced Onion
2 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup. Vinegar
2 tbs. Brown Sugar
1 tbs. Soy Sauce
INSTRUCTION: Add all of these ingredients together and mix them till well blended. Use a basting brush to apply to your bbq while grilling.
If you are planning a bbq party, you can make the sauce ahead of time. You would then simply pre-cook this barbecue sauce in a saucepan for about 20 minutes after it begins to simmer. Then store it in an airtight container inside your fridge for up to two days. This recipe makes about one cup of bbq sauce which serves about 4 people. Multiply the recipe as needed..
