A barbecue gas grill is a great investment. Choosing the best barbecue gas grill for entertaining guests is really just a matter of preference. Charcoal grills are also good, but most of them just don’t have the features that a good barbecue gas grill can offer. Gas barbecue grills are often built with a better stand and ignition system which makes the preferred choice to a lot of people. Barbecue grills that use gas for grilling come in a variety of models and many offer heat control, which is one thing that is hard to manage when cooking with charcoal. It is an easy adjustment if you prefer to cook your meat long and slow, simply adjust the grill grates to bring the meat a little closer to the flame and reduce the flame on the grill.
Decide on the size of your barbecue gas grill before you buy, if you only cook for two, then you will get more enjoyment from a smaller grill that is easier to clean If, however, you enjoy having a lot of guests over, the best bet is to buy a well-made larger grill right from the beginning. If you don’t, you may find that you will be purchasing a second grill later on for more cooking space. It is best to decide what size grill you need right from the start.
Be sure to buy a well made barbecue gas grill. You can find good quality gas bbq grills for reasonable prices if you take your time and look around. Some of the best grills for withstanding harsh weather are those made from stainless steel. One that comes to mind is the lynx gas barbecue grill. Lynx is known to be a top of the line grill manufacturer but you pay dearly for that quality, they can run up into the thousands and if you spring for one, you are sure to be happy with it for a very long time. If the cost of a lynx ix a bit out of your reach, there are a few other companies that make good quality stainless steel grills without all the bells and whistles for just a few hundred dollars. Whatever type of grill you decide on, just make sure that the quality standard id there or you may find that it wears out and begins to rust before you even had a chance to break it in.
A good gas barbecue grill can last many years, some even a lifetime of you are careful about your choices and make good decisions when purchasing it.

We all have fond memories of great barbecues. It is hard to say no when one of our friends or a family member invites us to a barbecue. The thought of the food on the grill with the smoky aroma all around is admittedly hard to resist. The barbecue has been a traditional get together meal for decades and it will be here for many more.
There are many different methods for cooking a great barbecue meal. Some prefer to use a dry rub seasoning on the meat while grilling, others like to marinate the meat for a day or so before cooking it, some people enjoy adding wood chips to the grill for added smoke flavor, and some just like their food smothered in lots of barbecue sauce.
Traditional barbecue sauce is a blend of tomato sauce and vinegar. You can use ketchup in place of those two items. If you like, cider can be used either in place of or in addition to the vinegar. Then, the creativity really kicks in, flavors and spices are added to give each sauce its own distinctive taste.
For sweet barbecue sauces, brown sugar or honey are usually added. You can also use fruit or jelly to sweeten a sauce. To make it spicy, you can add any type of pepper or hot sauce that you like, cayenne will give it a milder flavor while you can really spice it up with something like Habanero sauce. Any combination of herbs and seasoning can be used in your barbecue sauce, garlic and onion powder are very common but for added flavor you can also use something like fresh cilantro. Another ingredient that is often put into a good barbecue sauce is smoke flavoring. This can be used in place of wood chips in the grill. Mustard is also used in the making of several barbecue recipes.
Marinades are also very popular. Try out several different methods with this as well. A good marinade can either be made by adding water to one of your barbecue sauce masterpieces or creating something entirely new. Try a soy sauce, brown sugar and sesame for something different. Don’t be afraid to experiment and try new things. Then, you just soak your meat in it overnight in the refrigerator to let it really soak in the flavors.
The key to making the perfect barbecue sauce is to make it the way you would like it to taste. Add any ingredients you like, switch them up and use a lot of variety. Try new things especially if you have a few favorite herbs or flavor preferences.

Every year on the 4th of July Americans try to out do themselves from previous years with their fireworks. This year, why not take it one step further and make 4th of July 2009 the best barbecue party you have ever had? You can begin by choosing from the top gas barbecue grills way before the 4th of July because as our independence day comes closer, all the best grills will begin to vanish from the marketplace.
Once you have your grill picked out and on order, start creating your menu. The best barbecues are usually those that have top quality home made barbecue sauce on hand. You may want to experiment with a few before the 4th of July is here to be sure that you are making your guests the best barbecue that you can. You may even want to offer them a choice on bbq sauce flavors to make their independence day a truly special occasion.
Don’t forget the side dishes, lots of fruit and of course chili or baked beans are always a necessity at a 4th of July barbecue. Remember to make things that are easy to eat outdoors while you are watching your fireworks show as well. Beverages are better served from cans or disposable cups. Since they tend to get lost in all the excitement when the sun goes down and the 4th of July fireworks show begins, you will want to be sure to have lots of extra things to drink at your independence day barbecue.
Sturdy and durable disposable dinnerware is the order of the day on the 4th of July because it will most likely be a warm summer night in your neighborhood and people will want to wander around outside. Locating a couple of highly visible trash receptacles around the grounds to help keep down on the mess is also a good idea.
Make this 4th of July 2009 the best it can be by taking the time to plan a proper get together way in advance. It is sure to be a day of independence you will remember for years to come.

Converting A Grill Into A Smoker And Using It To Work For You
If you have a gas grill that is hinge covered and comes with a temperature gauge and a multi-rack assembly with rocks, that’s a nice grill that you have there! All you need now is a rotisserie set up and you will be making magic in your own back yard. You want to begin by soaking some hickory wood chips for the day before you barbecue that way the wood chips are soft so they don’t just burn up. You need the steam and smoke the wood chips for the best flavor. To turn your grill in to a smoker by setting the grill low, you’ll slow roast your ribs while you smoke your ribs. By utilizing the different levels of racks in your barbecue grill you can do multiple meats such as chicken, fish, wild game, ribs, roast, and even cheese anything you want because just about every thing tastes good smoked. Hickory and maple wood chips work best for me. You want to cure the item before the smoking treatment starts. Do this by making a brine. You can accent your flavor by adding any liquid smoke flavor of your choice to the brine as well. Do this a day before you use your newly made grill smoker. You won’t even have to buy a smoker because it was sitting in your back yard all of these years. Who knew, you have done a lot with your grill. You can have your neighbors walk by talking about the aromatic flavor you are sending. Now you have converted your very own bbq grill into a smoker with accessories now. Your friends will be asking “when are we coming over for a ribs bbq grilled dinner?”

A garden is like a blank canvas, in which you can put almost anything you want. Whether its a place to sit, or things to eat, or just things to look at, you can put them in your garden an outdoor space of your very own.
The most common thing to do with gardens is to fill them with plants, especially grass lawns, but also bushes and trees. It can be very rewarding to see what you planted only a few months ago starting to take root and then, over the years, seeing it grow larger and thrive. While it takes care and attention, gardening is a hobby that many people feel they can get into.
Once youre good enough to plant flowers and bushes and have them survive from season to season, you might even feel brave enough to start growing some of your own food. There are many crops you can grow even in a modestly-sized garden that will produce a lot of food and taste very good when you harvest them root vegetables like potatoes and carrots work very well, as do berry bushes and apple trees. Food tastes much better when you know youve grown it yourself, and you save money too.
If youre less green fingered than that, you can put other things in your garden apart from plants. Its not difficult to build a brick barbecue, for example, get some chairs and invite people round. You might like to build a patio or decking where you can sit away from the garden itself but still outdoors. Various kinds of paths and rock features are also popular things to put in a garden, as are decorative ornaments like garden gnomes and model birds. If youre a fan of fish and water life, you can even dig yourself a pond, and get various animals and plants to put in it.
